artista e mi sono ripromesso di fare tutto ciò che un cantante può
fare per il prossimo e per la società. Ognuno di noi è chiamato a
fare qualcosa per lasciare ai nostri figli un mondo un pò migliore
di come l'abbiamo trovato ed io conto di non sottrarmi a questo che
reputo un imperativo morale. Canto , con profondo senso del dovere e
modestia , per bambini , uomini e donne, che hanno culture e
religioni assai diverse tra loro , in tante parti del mondo,
portando un messaggio di pace e tolleranza , questo è ciò che mi
sento di fare e che con tutta la mia forza farò. Mi sento
particolarmente vicino alle problematiche riguardanti bambini ed
anziani , a volte disattese e trascurate . Loro sono il passato ed
il futuro, e dove andremo non può prescindere da dove veniamo"

artist and I hope to do all that a singer can do for my neighbor and
for society. Each of us is called on to do something in order to leave
to our children a world that is a little better than we found it, and
I intend not to shirk this [duty] which I consider a moral imperative.
I sing, with a profound sense of responsibility and humility, for
children, men, and women, having among them many diverse cultures and
religions, in many parts of the world, carrying [with me] a message of
peace and tolerance; this is what I wish to do and will do with all my
strength. I feel particularly close to the problems of children and
old people, at times disregarded and neglected. They are our past and
our future, and wherever we will be going, we cannot leave out of
consideration where we came from.”

me suis promis de faire tout ce qu’un chanteur peut faire pour son
prochain et pour la société. Chacun de nous est appelé à faire
quelque chose pour laisser à nos enfants un monde un peu meilleur que
nous l’avons trouvé et je ne compte pas me soustraire à ce que je
considère comme un impératif moral. Je chante, avec le sens profond
du devoir et de la modestie, pour les enfants, les hommes et les
femmes, qui sont de cultures et religions très diverses, dans
